How to Spend 24 Hours in London

London, England | Europe

Plane tickets with Ryanair can be surprisingly cheap, so why not fly to London for just one night? With only 24 hours, sleep is optional—but memories are guaranteed.

Arrive early and head straight into the city. Grab a strong coffee and a light breakfast to wake yourself up. Your first stop has to be Big Ben—you can’t visit London without seeing this iconic landmark. Take all the photos (yes, for Instagram).
Next, hop on the London Eye and enjoy sweeping views over the city. It’s the perfect way to see London from above.

Make your way to Oxford Street for an afternoon of shopping. If retail therapy isn’t your thing, London has plenty of great museums, such as the British Museum, the Natural History Museum, or Tate Modern.

Evening: Food, Theatre & Pubs

Find a cozy spot for dinner, then head to a musical in the West End. We saw Hercules, and it was absolutely amazing.

End the night the London way: a few drinks in a pub. My favorite is Mr Fogg’s—a perfect place to toast to this amazing day.

Next Morning: Full English & Exploring

Start your morning with a proper full English breakfast. Beans in tomato sauce, hash browns, bacon—embrace the full experience.

After breakfast, take the Tube to Notting Hill and wander through this charming area. Explore the markets, cute shops, and food spots, and don’t forget to visit the famous bookshop from the Notting Hill movie. This honestly was one of the most fun areas in London if you love shopping and flea markets, there were so many items and great stores to explore.

Final Stop: One Last Feast

Before heading back to the airport, finish your trip at Borough Market. This vibrant food market has everything—from street food to sweet treats—and is the perfect final taste of London.

Then it’s back to the airport… and finally, some sleep on the plane.
