New York City is an incredible place to visit, but it can also be expensive! Luckily, there are plenty of amazing free experiences that let you explore the city without spending a dime. Whether you’re a budget traveler or just looking for ways to save, here’s your ultimate guide to the best free things to do in NYC.

1. The Staten Island Ferry past the Statue of Liberty

If you do not think it is worth it to pay for an expensive boat trip to or around the Statue of Liberty there is another option: the Staten Island ferry. This free ferry passes the Statue of Liberty and gives you stunning views of Manhattan skyline.
The ferry departs from Whitehall terminal in lower Manhattan and runs frequently throughout the day.

However, they’re in high demand, it is quite hard to get them. Luckily I know another more exciting way to get them! Read my other blog on how to get Jimmy Fallon tickets and maybe you’ll get a high five from Jimmy Fallon just like I did.
